Volunteer Hub is the University’s online database for student volunteering where you can:

  • Advertise volunteering opportunities to students. For more information click here.
  • Record students volunteering hours for the Make A Difference element of the Stellify Award.

If your School or Division is running an opportunity, please ensure you register and post it on Volunteer Hub.

If you have agreed that an external organisation can advertise their overseas opportunities to students, please ensure that they register on Volunteer Hub in order to do so.

My Placement is the University’s online system for off-campus opportunities. It is used for any off-campus (overseas and in the UK) placements that are 4 weeks or more for:

  • Monitoring;
  • As part of the emergency incident management system.

You will need to use My Placement if:

  • The University is wholly or jointly responsible for the project ; AND
  • The opportunity is 4 weeks or more.

You should request access to the system via LANDESK and also read the training guides.

My Placement has different levels of functionality including information about the opportunity, the option to manage applications, elements of pre-departure preparation and administration, and emergency incident management.
